With a creative passion for Italian cuisine Rocca Restaurant founded by Paolo & Umberto have created this by using only the best locally sourced ingredients & freshly imported produce from Italy.
Our food is made & served by a team of people who love cooking it as well as eating it & chatting about it endlessly. Despite Rocca's recent opening, it's roots & influences stretch back much further in time. It seems the Italian experience has translated perfectly into English with Rocca.
Paolo's father came from Sora, Italy to England in the late 1950's as a qualified bread maker. Giorgio worked extremely hard to eventually set up a successful restaurant in 1983 in Colne, Lancashire "Da Giorgio's." This is where a young Paolo started out in the family business.
Umberto's father came from Borrello, Italy to England in the early 1960's as a qualified chef. Francesco had worked in hotels & restaurants throughout his career before being the head chef at "Da Tonino's" in 1978 who then later purchased with his brother Antonio back in 1982. A young Umberto started out with his career in 1980 then worked abroad in 1982 on the island of Capri later to return working at the family business.
